Special materials refer to the air hardening inorganic binding materials with calcium oxide as the main component.
It has strong capability in rapid-reaction, which can shorten the smelting time, improve the purity and yield of molten steel, reduce the consumption of lime and fluorite and prolong the service life of converter lining.
Lime tends to have low sulfur and phosphorus contents. It is used for fast slag melting, short smelting time, desulphurization and dephosphorization, with impressive effects. As lime has commendable activity and high dephosphorization rate, it is able to reduce lime dosage and steel slag production, thereby improving the recovery rate of molten steel to reduce the heat loss in the furnace. Hence, the scrap ratio tends to be low, thus enhancing smelting production.
Mainly used for steel making and iron powder sintering.
Metallurgical lime samples are regularly sent to quality supervision and inspection center for contrast test. The test results were all conforming.
