On the morning of May 26th, the opening ceremony of the Mozambique Manatee Company was held in Matutini city, Maputo. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, the President of Mozambique; Carlos Mesquita, the Minister of Industry and Commerce; Mr. Wang Hejun, the Chinese Ambassador to Mozambique; Mr. Wang Fayin, the President of West International Holding Group; Vice President Zhang Peng, Vice President Li Yongfu, Chairman of Dugongo Cement Victor Luís Timóteo; and leaders of local government departments at all levels which amounted more than 300 people attended the ceremony to witness another milestone in the development of Western International Holding Group.
In the presence of Group President Mr. Wang Fayin and important guests, President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony. In front of the sand table in the office hall, Mr. President listened to an introduction to the process layout of the entire factory. Afterwards, accompanied by Group President Mr. Wang Fayin and Dugongo Cement Chairman Victor, the President visited the Central Control Room and the production site. Dugongo's beautiful garden-like environment, advanced production equipment, first-class technology, and scientific and orderly on-site management left a deep impression on the President and the guests.
At 11 a.m., the ceremony officially began and the Group President Mr. Wang Fayin delivered a welcome speech. He emphatically introduced the industry and strategic planning of West International Holding Group in Africa. He said that as an important production base of Western Group in Eastern Africa, Dugongo Cement has successfully started production, and all operations are on the right track. The next step will continue to improve production technology and product performance to provide regional customers with high quality and better price, to promote the upgrading of the building materials industry, to expand the employment of local employees continually, to actively participate in public welfare, and to make due contributions to the local social and economic development of Mozambique.
Next, Minister Mesquita made a speech. He said that Dugongo Cement is a dynamic company and will not only prosper the local economy, but also promote the overall development of the local economy after its operation. The Mozambican government and people will continue to support the development of Dugongo Cement and express welcome and appreciation for next investment in Mozambique.
At last, President Nyusi delivered an enthusiastic speech. He is satisfied that Mozambique has such a beautiful factory. He expressed that today was a big day for memorable. Mozambique has rich mineral resources. The production of Dugongo Cement will help reduce the cost of local housing construction and contribute to the economic development and modernization of Mozambique. He encouraged the management team of Dugongo Cement to make persistent efforts to create a benchmark enterprise in the national building materials industry in Mozambique.
Dugongo Cement is located in Bellavista Town, Matutini District, Maputo, with a plant area of nearly 46 hectares and a total investment of approximately 330 million US dollars. It has a new dry-process cement production line with a daily output of 5,000 tons, and is equipped with 3×12MW. The thermal power station has an annual cement production capacity of about 2 million tons with more than 500 employees and can achieve an annual output value of 220 million US dollars. The company's main products include cement, aggregate, concrete, prefabricated construction, modern logistics and other types of building materials, which are widely used in national highways, railways, airports, bridges, ports, and commercial and residential construction markets.
The successful holding of this opening ceremony is of great significance to Dugongo Cement expansion of product awareness and brand influence, and to further consolidate and expand Dugongo Cement’s dominant position and comprehensive competitiveness in the local market.
